Femilift urinary incontinence

What is urinary incontinence?

The most common form of urinary incontinence is stress-related incontinence. This is when urine escapes during moments of increased pressure, such as when you laugh, sneeze, cough, and when doing sports. Many women think that stress-related incontinence only happens to older women. However, it often happens to younger women as well, primarily young mothers. With the Femilift treatment, we will gladly help you get rid of these annoying problems.

What are the advantages of this treatment?

  • No more involuntary loss of urine
  • No more pain during sexual intercourse (when relevant)
  • Quick, safe and effective procedure
  • Maximum 30-minute procedure

When am I a suitable candidate for the Femilift treatment?

One out of four women, over 30 years of age, suffers from urinary incontinence. For example, during daily activities, when they cough, laugh or do sports. Do you also experience these problems? Then you are definitely a good candidate to be treated for involuntary loss of urine.

How does the treatment for urinary incontinence work?

Femilift is a laser treatment that warms up the tissues of the vagina. This causes the fibres in the skin to shrink, and it stimulates the production of new collagen. This strengthens the vaginal wall and can reduce urinary incontinence.

The treatment is given three times to achieve the desired results. There must be a minimum of four weeks, and preferably a maximum of 6 weeks, between treatments. We advise you to repeat the treatment once a year to get the best results.

It is also important to know that you will need to buy a Probe. This is a one-off purchase. It is a tube that goes over the laser before the treatment is given. This Probe is for you only and makes sure that the treatment is given using the utmost hygiene. You can buy the Probe at the practice.

CONSULTATION

Before the treatment is carried out, you will meet with our cosmetic gynaecologist. During your consultation, you can explain your symptoms and why you would like to have the Femilift treatment. Naturally, you are free to ask any questions. The cosmetic gynaecologist will advise you and supply you with all the necessary information regarding the treatment so that you know exactly what to expect.

What can I expect after having been treated for urinary incontinence?

The biggest advantage of Femilift is that this Co2-laser treatment is not an operation. In this way, your daily routine will not be interrupted, and there is no long-term recovery period.

You can get back to normal life straight away. We do advise you to avoid sexual contact, and not to have a bath and not to wash the vagina internally for the first two to three days.

It is normal to experience some redness, discharge and swelling for a few days. This is nothing to worry about. You can use a sanitary towel should you have any discharge. We do not recommend using tampons. Should you have any doubts, please feel free to contact the clinic for advice. We can be reached daily from 08:00 till 21:00 on this number: +31 (0)180-439001.
