What is the tightening of the vagina?

When am I a suitable candidate to have my vagina tightened?
You are a good candidate when you experience less pleasure during sexual intercourse. When this problem has an impact on your sex life, or you suffer from loss of urine, having your vagina tightened can be the solution.
How is the vagina tightened?
Femilift is a laser treatment that stimulates the production of collagen. Just like the skin on your face, vaginal tissue is also made up of collagen fibres. These fibres give the vagina its strength and flexibility. However, when collagen starts to break down, the skin can become looser and less flexible. This can become a problem. Femilift warms the vaginal tissue, which causes the fibres in the skin to shrink, and it stimulates the production of new collagen. The fluid balance is also improved. The skin/vaginal wall is strengthened, and the elasticity of the vagina is regained, and blood circulation improved.
The treatment is given three times to achieve the desired results. There must be a minimum of four weeks, and preferably a maximum of six weeks, between treatments. We advise you to repeat the treatment once a year to get the best results.
You will need to buy a Probe for this treatment. This is a one-off purchase. It is a tube that is placed over the laser before the treatment is started. This Probe is for you only, making sure that the treatment is given using the utmost hygiene. You can buy the Probe at the practice.
What can I expect after having had my vagina tightened?
One of the most significant advantages of using Femilift for this treatment is that it is a CO2 laser treatment – and not an operation. It is given using a local anaesthetic, and there is no wound. This means that there is no recovery period, and your daily routine is not interrupted. You may resume your normal daily activities straight away.
We do advise you to avoid sexual contact, not to have a bath and not to wash the vagina internally for the first two to three days. During this time, it is normal to experience some redness, discharge and swelling. There is no need to worry about this. You can use a sanitary towel should you have any discharge. We do not recommend using tampons
Naturally, when you take good care of yourself, you will see maximum results. This means: eat healthily, drink lots of water and do not smoke.

It is not advisable to sit on a doughnut cushion or a swimming float because this can cause the swelling to increase. We advise you to sit on a rolled-up towel, which will act as a pressure bandage. We kindly ask you to bring your own towel with you on the day of your treatment. So that directly after the treatment, you can sit on the towel on your way home, and this will prevent swelling.
The results
You will notice that your symptoms will have reduced, already after the first treatment. After the third treatment, your symptoms will have disappeared entirely. Because ageing tissue can sometimes become loose again, we recommend that you have ‘maintenance treatment’ done, once a year, to ensure that your symptoms do not return.
